My New Doll Club!

Been a couple of days, but my day job sucked up about 50 hours of my time in only 3.5 days! However, on Wednesday I joined my very first doll club! I am a member of the Dollie MaMa & the Fabric Floozies!

I had the best time ever and it was so good being with other artists that make dolls and that can share the same passion, tips, excitement, etc. that I do! The experience level of the gang was from newbie (me) to ladies with over 10 years experience.

So far we're meeting on the first Wednesday of every month and the group has only met about 3 times, so everyone is just getting their feet wet. I can't wait until December 9th to get back together with them. This past meeting - I even learned to do beading!!!

Got the slideshow working!

I am so excited, I figured out how to add a slide show of the pictures of the dolls have made. I still need to finish a couple and take their pictures; but overall I am feeling pretty cool about getting a blog going! I have also secured a website and domain name for By the Light o' the Moon.com site and my son is going to start working on it for me!

Working on Two Dolls

Actually, I am taking two online classes and I am so excited! One is by Judy Skeel and is a Harpy! The second is by Barbara Schoenoff and is a Temple Dancer. Which I am hoping will work out nicely again as a belly dancer for my good friend Bella aka Robin! :)

I am so excited to be putting my focus here again. It makes my heart fill so good and excited to be working on the dolls. A little like riding a roller coaster - fun, but kind of scary too. Not sure why that is; but, I do love the feeling!

Hoggle!

My friend Maren asked me to make a troll doll for her annual Halloween party. Her theme was Mythical Creatures and Beasties! So, using a pattern by Utes~Trolls - I made Hoggle. I doubled the size of the pattern and he is 36 inches tall and has a sitting height of 18 inches. This is him in his Halloween picture!

Figuring out how to blog

One of my goals has been to learn how to blog! So here I go! Not sure how to make the picture work behind the title, but I am sure there are directions somewhere LOL
